Maintaining Discipline and Integrity: Our School Rules & Regulations
At Mary Immaculate Girls' High School & Junior College (Co. Ed), we believe that a well-structured environment fosters learning, discipline, and personal growth. To ensure that our school remains a place of respect, integrity, and academic excellence, we have established a set of rules and regulations that every student is expected to follow.
Rules & Regulations:

Students should be in school at least five minutes before the class. No pupil who is late will enter the classroom unless she brings to the teacher a note from the Principal.

Students should come to school daily in full school uniform and neatly dressed, hair neatly plaited (2) with white ribbons, black buckle shoes and white socks.

Students who come to school without the proper uniform must bring a note of excuse from their parents/guardians in the Hand Book.

During the monsoon, students are permitted to wear other black shoes or sandals with back strap. Slippers are never permitted.

Special attention must be paid to cleanliness of the hair, nails, teeth, ribbons, socks and shoes. Fancy haircut, colouring the hair is not allowed. Students are not to wear long ear rings, and fancy watches.

Every student must bring the school Hand Book to class daily.
​

Students should take special care of their handbook. They should not fold it or deface it by drawing or scribbling.

Students are not allowed to tear any page from the Hand Book.
​

Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct both in and outside the school.
​

No student who has been absent from school for more than three days will be admitted to class without the Principal's signature. For every absence, even with a medical certificate, a note in the calendar is necessary.

Any damage done in or about the school premises must be replaced by the student responsible.
​

The school is not responsible for any articles or money lost. It is not advisable for students to bring large sums of money or valuable articles with them to school.

Personal cleanliness and hygiene is expected from all. Students should be careful not to throw any paper, waste, etc. on the floor of the school premises or compound. They should use the bins specially provided for this purpose.

Every student should endeavor to keep the high tone of the school by excelling in good manners. Hence for the smooth running of the school any objects liable to be a source of disturbance e.g. crackers, water pistols, match boxes, magazines or story books, CDs Pen drives, mobiles, IPods, etc. if found in the possession of the students, will be confiscated and make them liable for further punishment.

No collection, no meeting, demonstration, party or picnics for any purpose whatsoever is to be started and held, without the previous permission of the Principal.

Presents (Gifts) to members of the staff or demonstration in their honour requires the Principal's permission.
​

Fines may be imposed by the Principal or by others with the expressive permission of the Principal for faults against discipline or irregularity.

English is the medium of instruction in the school and hence all students should speak English in the school.
​

No pupil who falls short of 75% of attendance will be promoted to the higher class even if she scores the minimum required percentage of marks for being promoted.

Students are not expected to indulge in any malpractices such as cheating in the examination, stealing blank answer sheet, asking others for answers, copying etc. Anybody found/reported to indulge in any such malpractices action will be taken.
